Duties and Tasks of pilgrims transportation companies: --
1 - Pilgrims transportation companies are committed to provide a sufficient number of buses for this season and also provide drivers who prepare them for transporting pilgrims and are trained for driving on the roads leading to the holy places with a coordination with the traffic organization before the next season with enough time.
2 - Non-mandated bus driver with more than the daily capacity in order to preserve the lives of pilgrims and to avoid incidents that have been caused by driver fatigue.
3 - Requiring bus drivers to stop in reception centers (direction) and monitor groups and stipulated that in the contracts concluded with them.
4 – Instructing drivers’ rest places in the support centers deployed in the highways between Mecca and Jeddah / Mecca and Medina, as well as at the headquarters of companies if they are supported accommodation and subsistence.
5 - Provide support centers with ambulances for securing the highways (Mecca / Medina) and (Mecca / Jeddah).. As well as securing a sufficient number of skillful technicians and equipments in those centers for quick response for any damage or accidents on the roads, during the season (God forbid).
6 – Supporting sufficient number of mobile workshops and cranes on the highway and in Mecca and the holy and provide these workshops and cranes with wireless devices and trained professionals, equipment and spare parts required.
7 - the maintenance of buses throughout the year and during the season by skilled technicians and sensitize drivers before the start of the season with the defined color for each institution by establishing guideline boards at the headquarters of all drivers and in Garages.
8 - the distribution of colored mini-maps of the drivers show entrances and exits of Mecca and how to access holy places and roads leading to and from them.also specifying reception centers, guidance and control centers and control grouping and support centers to give effect to the directions of His Excellency the Minister of Hajj contained in his telegram No. (2681) in 5 / 23 /1418.
9 - Companies take groups of drivers by buses to visit the Holy ground before the peak of the pilgrimage to show them the institutions sites and the access roads to and from the Mina and Arafat and Muzdalifa from Mecca.
10 - The organization of bus parking strategy on holy places reservation sites which will help to ease and speed up the receipt of the bus by service groups and get them out of reservation places.
11 -Ensuring the complete safety and quality of the tires, and cleanliness of refrigerators and the main and important contents of the bus, and the cleanliness of the buses inside and outside.
12 - The need for cooperation between the union representative liaison officers and the Raft institutions by allocating a special place for them at the headquarters of companies to be able to perform their jobs and inform them with the terms of their institution, added to providing them with lists of the escalation movement of their institutions-specific.
13 – Their should be an integrated mobile workshop at the headquarters of each institution in (Arafat) with their buses distributed to work on a quick repair for any bus break down.
14 - drivers should be aware of and guided by all the instructions and directives issued during the last periods , and to ensure full compliance by the drivers as well as officials in the field on the implementation of transport services and the observance of safety and regulatory compliance with the instructions in terms of specifications and what should the bus be supported with, and in terms of number of passengers and cargo. . Etc... The pilgrims transport companies involved in the violation of any responsibility of the drivers, particularly with regard to riding pilgrims on the roof of the bus or to increase the tonnage of the bus, and buses should have safety seat belt, including open-roof buses as an implementation of the instructions, as well as having first-aid bag in each bus.
15 - Warning drivers not to allow the transfer of pilgrim luggages that are dangerous to the safety of the pilgrims, and to allow only the transfer of light luggage not acute or solid luggage that endanger the safety of the pilgrims or the risk of injury or impede the conduct of the drivers in critical situations.
16 - Drivers have to check the safety of pilgrims’ luggage on the back of that bus.
17 - to alert drivers to make sure that there is not any luggage for pilgrims in any part of the bus before leaving the place, this is a shared responsibility of all those involved in transport and service groups.
18 - emphasis on the drivers not to return after the bus loaded to the headquarters of the companies in order not cause fatigue and suffering of the pilgrims, with directing them to pass by control centers of transportation.
19 - The drivers participate in training courses held by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj Research, participating public security to prove the effectiveness of these courses.
20 - the need to guide drivers to stop at Almiqat mosque in Medina before Hajj in order to have the state of ritual consecration and stop at the rest houses in the path of Medina and Jeddah to pray in the places where they desired, to prevent pilgrims to be blackmailed.
21 - Awareness of drivers on what recently issued by the competent authorities about drivers’ running away and its consequences.
22 - warning drivers to reconcile the number of pilgrims to transfer to the number of passports, with guide, and the driver should not move from his position, but with having the right number installed on trip lists, after being sure of the right number of passports with guide.
23 - Emphasis on the driver not to move from rest places until making sure of all the pilgrims existence.
24 - The role of driver education and support centers related to the syndicate and the importance of cooperating with them by responding to their requirements for the benefit of the work .
As for the age-span of a bus, and if it exhausts companies financially:
The life span of buses is about (18) eighteen years of their adoption time.
And that does not exhaust companies financially.
